1. The Wright-Dunbar Interpretive Center (Free)

Yes, you need to check out the main aviation attractions and take the family.

If you just go to visit one of these aviation facilities, I would say the Wright-Dunbar Interpretive Center is a must. This building is listed as a National Historic Landmark due to the fact that this was the location where the Wright Cycle Company was founded back in the early years.

Did you know, the Wright Brothers weren’t always airmen? They actually started out in the printing industry? When you visit this center, you will also learn about their early years.

This completely free attraction is open to everyone Wednesday-Sunday, within normal business hours, and features exhibits and copies of the early films.

2. National Museum of the U.S. Air Force (Free)

Now let's jump through time to the modern era and check out some of aviation’s history newer attractions at the U.S. Air Force National Museum.

This by far is the world’s oldest and largest military aviation museum as well as the most-visited attraction for tourists in the state of Ohio.

This place pulls in just over one million people who visit each year! There are over 340 aerospace vehicles, artifacts and tons of missiles to explore over 16 acres of indoor space.

Exhibits are in chronological order, so that you can easily walk through history by the decades and see things develop and how they changed over time.

There are tons of hands-on activities for adults and kids alike, such as sitting in the pilot seat of a jet or walking through a NASA space shuttle.

3. America’s Packard Museum ($4.00)

Founded in 1992, the America's Packard Museum has made it its mission to educate present and future generations about the Packard Motor Car Company, its products, and its philosophy. Featuring over 50 fully restored automobiles, this museum is the perfect place for car lovers in your life! This attraction has brought in a lot of tourists and travelers from all other to view its expansive collection, the largest in the world! When you visit this museum you are treated to sights of automobiles from 1903 to 1956. Fun for the whole family, you'll be sure to make memories here.

4. The Dayton Philharmonic

The Dayton Philharmonic is just an amazing place for all types of events. There is a wide range of shows that can be performed at the DP such as, The Rockin’ Orchestra, that plays music by (Elton John, U2, David Bowie, and many more). You can also find a good selection of family concerts as well as holiday concerts.

The Masterworks Series hosted at The Dayton Philharmonic is a celebration of the classical composers.

5. Buckeye Brew Tours

The Buckeye Brew Tour is a great experience for any brew hounds. On this brew tour, you will get a sampling of over a dozen different local crafted brews that are popping up all over the city of Dayton.

The Buckeye Brew Tour bus takes you to three different pubs that brew their own beer. When you visit each location, you will get to try three different beers for a grand total of 12 different brews.
